Barcelona, is a cosmopolitan city of more than one million population. Almost coming out of the sea you meet Montjuich Mountain where Barcelona rests on its slope and the Spanish village where houses, squares and streets are representing the most tipical spanish architecture.

The most important festival in Barcelona is "La Mercé" (Patron of the city) which they celebrate on September 24 although the different spectacles, concerts and activities begin before three days.

Els castellers: Castles formation of human pyramids. El "castell" is considered achivied when the youngest reaches up and raise his hand.

El correfoc: devils and deamons which run through the streets armed with all clases of pyrotechnic firework

El piromusical: spectacle of artificial fires and music, on September 24 at 22:00 hour with which th city close the festival.
During the traditional festival of La Mercé there are a lot of rock concerts, pop, and folk music by diverse international musical groups as well as theatral representations (also in the street) and diverse sportive activities as the Marathon.
